Harris Gardens
How many fools lose their way
Chasing gold and smiles
How many mothers sat crying
Cos they've lost their child
How many families torn
Due to selfishness
How many broken dreams
Due to selflessness
How many tears shed
For the crippled hearts
How many unmade beds
For the long departed
How many kids in the street with no ambition
How many guys sat behind desks reminiscing
About the good times we had
And how the world used to flourish
How many times did we laugh
As our souls were nourished
But we chose this path
To eventual misery
As we chased our desires
Clothes and money
How many empty bedrooms
With no occupants
How many silent nights
With dim lights and fast food
How many mothers at work
With no time for thinking
How many families
Separated from the home
A house left in ignorance
A time of blessing
Faded away
Like this dream of success
And we all have left now
Is each other
How much time do we spend
Loving one another
Dear God please save
This house torn in two
Siblings gone askew
Until the end of time
Please bring us back
Oh the Most Sublime
To a time where we knew You
A time where we were true
A time where You loved us
And we adorned You
