Al-Nafs
To turn an enemy into a friend
One must choose his actions wisely
For words can touch the heart of men
But the soul must be moved concisely
As there are parts of us that decay
Yet we cannot just throw these parts away
For without them we are not whole
So we must clean the decayed soul
And win him over as a friend
For when two become one the process of mending
Hearts and souls
Spirits and egos
Desire and Piety
Sin and redemption
Light and darkness
Merge as one
My friend is now me
The ego obeys
We’re on the same page
Until the end of days
