Three Stars

Three Stars

What is the worth of souls
When measured it's weight in gold?
What is the worth of a life
When taken in the night

3 bright stars
Slowly begin to dim upon this Earth
But by the grace of God they'll shine
In their glorious rebirth

I sit and weep in agony
While the world looks on in vain
People caught up in pleasure and pain
For personal gain
But we cannot attain
The being in the Human
Unless we live for one another
My soul it weeps
It weeps
For misunderstanding each other
And although I never met you all
Your light has reached my heart
A piece of me I've lost a part
While you suffered by the spark

Your legacy will live on
And by God my eyes are woken
I cannot bare all of your pain
So these words I have spoken

To God we all belong
To God we must return
Let not your fate be in deep vain
And may we all stand up and learn

I reach into my breast
And draw the sword of unity
Together we must stand
All one under the tree

All one under the tree
All one under the tree

Together we must stand
All one under the tree

My Boy

My Boy

The air is full of hatred
My lungs feel saturated
With visions of war
And apocalypse
The hour is near son
I'm feeling it

So while you lay down your head
In your mamas lap
Just remember
That your papa gotta stay strapped

I keep an arsenal of words for
The enemy
Cos while they still breath son
We can never be free

But Gods word is the utmost ultimate
Never forget what I teach you
In this cold world
Because the hour is near son
I'm feeling it
And your papas gotta fight
For the White pearls

See they're out to get us
And I ain't down with that
They choke to provoke
And leave our kids trapped

So take a long hard stare into your mamas eyes
For the future rests between faith and demise

There's so much I wanna share with you my boy
Like a world full of peace kids playing with toys
Sat around the kitchen eating family meals
Watching movies through the winter while we cuddle and chill

See there were days before this
Before the hatred
Before the air in your mamas lungs became saturated

Before the drones attacked us and destroyed our homes
Before the hour came near
And mama turned to bones

Before papa got a scar and lost an eye
But remember my son
That your Lord ain't blind

For the vision of truth that He has given to us
Must remain in our hearts
In this treasure we trust

Cos when the hour is here
All I want from my boy
Is a joyful tear
While we sit and rejoice

As our saviour comes
And breaks the cross with his hand
And leads us all back
To the promised land

So my boy don't lose faith
My boy don't lose hope
My boy stay grateful
And reap only what you sow

For the machine cannot provide
You with this love
That your mama and papa
And the Lord bestowed from above

So with this love in your heart
Grow up and be a man
Mama and I are waiting for you
In the promised land

These Words

These Words

As I fill up the needle with ink
And pump these words right into my veins
I'm reminded that these words will bring me no gain
But are words more potent when covered in fame?

These words make my name
6 followed by 5
These words bring me shame
Sex followed by lies
These words aren't the same
They're hollow inside
These words are insane
They follow my mind

Flip it
Change the rhythmic flow
These words bring to light
What my heart doesn't show
These words make me feel I'm big and I'm known
Like I'm finally grown
But these words never know

What they're doing inside
The letters and messages
Old newspapers
Emails and credit lists
Diaries stuffed behind cushions with feathers in
Hidden from people
Yet cuddled and read with them

These words unite nations
Like letters from presidents
Or breed holy war
From the venomous terrorists
These words can distort everything from within
Or return our souls to a permanent residence

Flip it
Change the rhythmic flow
These words are a part of my heart and my soul
They soar through the stratosphere all over the globe
And settle near graves like
Dark feathered crows

These words are our own
These words are mine
These words belong to you and I
With these words we reach the sky
And with these words we all must die

These words can change
They all hold fate
They all take blame
They all could hate
They all could save
They all create
They all could push our fears away

These words can bring us brighter days
Or these words can shackle hearts like slaves

These words are what we use today
To try and find a better way

They say the pen can slay the sword
These words can pierce our skin and more
The ink it runs right through my veins

But are words more potent when said again?
