Both entwined 

Cannot step on the same piece twice 

Yet we move along both 

Like dead leaves blown

Across the universe

Body and soul

Torn from the source

We fall into earth 

This body of ours

A gift and a curse

We yearn to return

But hate separation

From the things our eyes 

Have grown to know

So we grow old

In search for a friend

But we forgot the beginning 

So now we don't know the end 

Man is a creature 

Of forgetfulness 

So remind yourself 

Of the eternal abode

The place we call home

The heavens? No 

A place beyond 

Purgatorial limbo

Paradise 

Created for us 

To dwell in forever 

With no more sorrow 

So wish Peace and blessings

On Today and tomorrow

And plant seeds of good deeds

For you'll reap what you sow

Be a light of happiness

For all that you know

And look forward to the journey 

To Paradise

Your Love

You spoke to me in only words
My heart and mind would understand
I longed for a helping hand
The warmth the sea feels when embraced by the sand

But Your night has always embraced me quietly
The stars have guided me back to my home
Your trees breathe life into my small lungs
Every morning I am awoken by the light of Your sun

The faces I see
Each day I believe
Brings me closer to You
Through the words that I seek
Your Beloved Prophets
Peace be upon them
Helped spread Your message of love and peace

And as I close my eyes
I only see
A life without the ego in me
Your words bring me hope and I quote a few from thee
“….Whoever follows my guidance shall neither go astray or fall into distress or misery”

Surah Twenty verse One Hundred and Twenty Three.
20:123

“Those who believe and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah: Verily in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest. (As for) those who believe and do good, a good final state shall be theirs and a beautiful place of (final) return.” (13:28-29)

My Life

My life is governed by my emotions
Each moment filled with true devotion

The symmetry between love and pain
Coming together like waves in the ocean

Nights in Rome
The choir sings
The Colosseum bears
Blood and hymns

Constantinople the queen of cities
Brought memories of love and unity

But I sail alone now in this ship of mine
Against the winds of time
Towards the worlds end
If the world was flat I'd hit the end of the line
But it's not so I'll go right round again


Return to solace
Return to peace
Reset the compass
Return to the east

Dock the ship at the rising sun
Then dive into solitude
And seek The One.
